The paint is very nice and appears to be all original with no signs of spot repairs over the years, other than minor crazing on the right headlight bucket. There is no evidence of accident repairs to the body, underside or chassis. The trim, gaskets, window glass and lenses are also in excellent condition. The leather on the seats and door panels is in excellent condition, especially considering that it is now 38 years old! The dash covering and headliner are in excellent condition, again, especially considering that it is now 38 years old! The carpets have been protected by throw rugs and are also in excellent condition. The car had excellent drivability and functioning of all systems and has been extremely well sorted before the current service and will be even better when finished! It goes straight hands-off with no shimmy and brakes in a straight line. The engine bay is nicely detailed and the under panels, belly pan and suspension are in good condition. The A/C is being recharged and will blow cold. All original smog equipment is in place and working! 308 GTS s/n 27705 is fitted with the Factory optional 7 x 14 front and 7 ½ x 14 rear Speedline wheels with an excellent set of Michelin X 205/70/R 14 front and 215/70/R 14 rear tires. She even has the original period radio.

Introduced in 1977 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the 308 GTS’s styling still draws compliments today. As such, they have always been and always will be a popular way to enjoy the incomparable carbureted Ferrari experience. The 308 GTB and GTS were the first of the 2-seater V-8 Ferraris — smaller, lighter and more nimble than the larger 12-cylinder street GTB Ferraris. Its transverse mid-engine four-cam V8 offers more than adequate performance while the sleek Pininfarina designed and Scaglietti built 308 stands as one of the most beautiful and exotic street model Ferraris ever built, epitomizing the first of Ferrari’s now-long-line of best-selling 2-seater V-8 Ferraris. Thanks to the 308’s low sweeping body lines and the sounds of the well-proven, high-revving V-8 right behind your seat, every trip to dinner, Sunday brunch or your local coffee shop is a great driving experience.

From new in red with tan leather, a black dash and tan carpets. 308 GTS s/n 27705 now has only 21,075 total original miles and will be delivered with a full major cam belt 30,000 mile service All smog is in place but thanks to today’s draconian smog rules 308 GTS s/n 27705 is probably NOT California legal. A great looking, great sounding, totally sorted, amazingly user-friendly and ready to go carbureted 308 GTS that will not disappoint. Fly in for an impressive test drive.
