In addition to the cam belt service and new Pirelli P Zero tires, 550 Maranello s/n 118277 has been treated to a complete new leather interior. Both seats, both door panels, the dash, steering wheel and center console and the “A” and “B” pillars have been treated to all new light tobacco leather with contrasting yellow stitching. The vertical panel behind the seats, the rear package shelf and the headliner have also been treated to new quilted leather with contrasting yellow stitching. The carpets are all new with matching quilted leather kick panels and the complete trunk area has new matching leather trimmed carpeting. The headrests feature the “Prancing Horse” logo and even the floor-mounted fire extinguisher is mounted in a matching fitted leather bag. The sticky-switch problem common on the 550 Ferraris was treated to “Sticky-no-more” on all the switches and controls. All interior work was done by Caravaggio Corvettes, Ontario, Canada at a cost of $42,397.60. Only last year the owner next had Ferrari of Ontario perform a full safety inspection, emissions test, re-charge the A/C, service the steering rack, repair the front shock actuator, install new hood and trunk shocks and install new engine and tranny mounts at a cost of $11,910.18. There are less than 100 test miles since all work was completed. We have detailed photos of the new interior being fitted and all service invoices on file, ask us for photos or copies by PDF.

Introduced as the flagship of the Ferrari line in 1996, the 550 Maranello took Ferrari back to the glory days of the long-nose, short-tail front-engined Lusso, 275 and Daytona coupes. An indisputably elegant design with both masculine and muscular styling by Pininfarina. We believe the 550 Ferraris are unquestionably the best-buy in a user-friendly V-12 Ferrari. Thanks to speed-sensitive power steering the 550 is surprisingly light and easy to drive in traffic at low speeds or on the highway at high speeds. With effortless torque, they are pleasant to drive in traffic using only two or three of their six gears and utterly relaxed in 6th gear at America’s highway speeds. The climate control works well and the cockpit is luxurious and roomy. The trunk has more than adequate capacity for true Grand Touring. The Maranello recaptures the glory days of Ferrari’s legendary front-engined V-12 sports cars. The 550s offer staggering yet effortless performance from its 485 hp 5,474 cc V12, with a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 199 mph, just touching the magic 200 mph mark!

550 Maranello s/n 118277 is fitted with a Tubi exhaust that makes just the right sounds as the RPMs come up. Complete with the owner’s leather carrying pouch, the books and the full set of Factory tools in their carrying case. Still fitted with its original and great sounding factory-installed stereo system with 6-CD changer. Fully serviced, excellent paint, excellent body and an all new interior. This 550 is finished in an elegant and desirable color combination. Only 21,477 well-documented miles. Well-equipped and needs nothing. A no-stories, no-excuses car that is ready to be enjoyed and admired and driven. Priced very right at $149,500 or best offer.
