We are pleased to offer 2005 Ford GT s/n 401766. From new in an elegant Midnight Blue with gorgeous Ebony leather, lightweight forged aluminum wheels ($3,500), grey brake calipers ($750.00) and white painted racing stripes ($5,350). Sold new on 13 Oct., 2005 by Ford of Dublin, Dublin, CA to the current (and the only) owner with 12 delivery miles at purchase. California title issued on 05 Nov., 2005 and with the current owner since new. Ford GT s/n 401766 comes with the original window sticker, all eight of the owner’s handbooks and booklets with their pouch, every service invoice from new, the factory supplied trickle charger, the under-hood tow hook used for loading and the tire air compressor, both keys with their remotes and the factory car cover. All factory updates and recalls have been done. The factory transaxle output shaft bolts recall was done by Ford of Dublin, Dublin, CA on 29 May, 2008. The airbag and SRS system recall was done by Livermore Auto Group, Livermore, CA on 24 Apr., 2015. Ford GT s/n 401766 is a fully serviced, completely original, never tracked or raced, one owner car. A “no stories”, pride of ownership, investment grade, user-friendly exotic.

As a one-owner, 6,581 mile car, Ford GT s/n 401766 shows as near-new. The body, paint, interior and trim are all in virtually “as-new” condition with only a few very small rock chips in the nose. The right front wheel has a very minor scuff. The interior leather, sill plate and aluminum colored trim panels are all like-new in appearance, with only very light wear to the driver’s seat bolster and slight scuffing to the driver’s side sill plate. The leather, dash, headliner, and inner door panels are as-new. Both the engine bay and the underside are very clean, as one would expect with a carefully owned, sunny-days-only California car. Ford GT s/n 401766 runs and drives as nicely as she looks.

Inspired by Ford’s legendary 1st, 2nd and 3rd place victory at Le Mans in 1966, the Ford GT began life as a concept car to celebrate Ford’s centennial year, introduced at the 2002 Detroit auto show and designed by Camilo Pardo, the head of Ford’s “Living Legends” studio. The Ford GT was aimed squarely at other “Supercars” such as the Ferrari F40, the Mercedes SLR and the Porsche Carrera GT, but as a more affordable, user-friendly, economical, and reliable alternative. The Ford GT is built on a lightweight, alloy space-frame structure wearing alloy body panels. Powered by a mid-mounted, all-alloy, DOHC 4-valve, dry sumped 5.4 liter V-8 force-fed air through a screw-type supercharger with air-to-water intercooler. The alloy 5.4-liter was tweaked by longtime Ford associate Roush Engineering, giving 500 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 500 pound-feet of torque at 4500. Each engine is hand built, the engine plate is signed by Doug Campbell and Bill Sheffer, the engine builders.

The Ford GT will run from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, burn through the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 131.2 mph and cross the magic 200 mph barrier, hitting 205 mph. Integral aerodynamic tweaks, including an underbody splitter and a rear lip spoiler, will keep it planted to the ground while monstrous Brembo cross-drilled and vented discs will haul it back down. But wait, it gets better! The good news is that the Ford GT is wonderfully reliable while parts and service are available at any Ford dealer in the country! The Ford GT is instantly recognizable, blisteringly fast, makes all the right sounds, yet is user-friendly and easy to maintain. Ford GT s/n 401766 was sold new into California and is fully documented from delivery. Comes with the window sticker, all eight handbooks and booklets, the pouch, service invoices from new, the trickle charger, tow hook, the tire air compressor, both keys with their remotes and the factory car cover. Only 6,581 well documented miles from new with no excuses. CarFax and all service invoices on file.
