We are pleased to offer 1973 Dino (Ferrari) 246 GTS s/n 04468, a nicely restored USA 246 GTS with only 28,128 incredibly well-documented original miles, and ownership history known back to the day it was built in December of 1972. S/n 04468 is one of the very few Ferraris we’ve ever offered that has been enjoyed as most owners only dream of! The third owner had this Dino stripped, painted, mechanically gone through and then drove s/n 04468 on the 800-mile Costa Rica to Panama Rally in January of this year. He then shipped s/n 04468 to Europe and re-traced the”The Cento d’Ore” rally through Italy and the “Tour de Auto” through France, as well as a tour through Switzerland in June of this year. Comes with 120 pages of original long-term ownership and maintenance documentation, an obsessive-compulsively detailed logbook from 2003–2012 with all service work and mileage noted, and a fastidious photo album with over 100 photos documenting the restoration, the Costa Rica to Panama Tour, “The Cento d’Ore” and the “Tour de Auto” tours. In early 2007 s/n 04468 was treated to an engine-out service, a transaxle overhaul with new 1st and 2nd gear syncros, a new starter ring gear and a rebuilt starter, alternator and water pump. All rubber water, fuel and brake hoses were also replaced, all at 24,895 miles.

In May of this year s/n 04468 was treated to a $7,000 service by Graber Sportgarage in Toffen Switzerland at 26,635 miles before being shipped back to the US. Still excellent six-year-old Fly Yellow paint over an accident-free and rust-free body. Excellent original tan leather seats and brown carpets. Stainless steel exhaust. Fitted with a full set of Campagnolo wheels with excellent Michelin XWX tires. From new with A/C and P/W. The transmission tunnel still has the original plastic covering, the original targa top cover is still behind the seats and it still has the annoying door and seat belt buzzers. Everything working as it should. 246 GTS s/n 04468 shows and drives like a near-new, pride-of-ownership 246 GTS with amazing documentation and a known ownership back to the selling dealer. The low sweeping body lines, and the sounds of the well-proven, low-maintenance, high-revving V-6 right behind your seat, make every trip for coffee feel like a qualifying lap at Sebring. We welcome any mechanical or body inspection. All paperwork on file. Priced right and seriously for sale at $279,500.
