We are pleased to offer 1998 USA model Ferrari F355 Spider s/n 111312, from new with a 6-speed manual shift, delivered new to Shelton Ferrari, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before being sold to its first owner, Denise Richmond, Boca Raton, FL. Finished in Blue Tour de France 522 with a matching blue soft top, tan leather seats and console, a black upper and tan lower dash and tan carpets, a rear Challenge grille and black calipers. Unfortunately, in late August of 2017, F355 Spider s/n 111312 suffered from fresh water flood damaged in the Houston floods. Only weeks later F355 Spider was serviced by Sphere Motorsports. Both seats were re-upholstered and new seat drive gear was installed. A new suspension ECU was fitted. An engine-out service with all new cam and drive belts was performed. New interior switches, a new engine ECU, a new battery and a new clutch master cylinder were also installed. The total invoice was $25,994.27. We have a detailed photo album with all service invoices going back ten years, including the water damage repairs. F355 Spyder s/n 111312 was most recently fully serviced with an engine-out cam belt service only a year ago, in May of 2019, by H&S Motorsports, 6125 West Sam Houston Pkwy, Houston, TX. Work included new cam belts, new tensioners, new cam seals, new spark plugs, new cam cover gaskets, a new alternator and power steering belts, a new front timing cover gasket, a new front crank seal and a new rear main seal. The total invoice, parts and labor were $10,893.69 at 21,670 miles. Today F355 Spider s/n 111312 has only 22,181 well documented miles. We have all service Invoice on hand and F355 Spider s/n 111312 has a clean Carfax. Ask for scanned copies by e-mail.

The body and panel fit and the paint are all in excellent condition over an accident-free and dent-free body. The tan leather seats, console and the black dash are all new. The engine compartment is spotless. Comes with the embossed leather carrying pouch with the owner’s handbook, all six owner’s books, the original warranty card showing the selling dealer and first owner, the leather tool case with all the factory tools and a car cover. F355 Spider s/n 111312 is both cosmetically and mechanically an excellent example, offering the chance to buy a substantially serviced 1998 F355 Spider. A pride-of-ownership “first Ferrari” for the buyer looking for a bargain-priced, user-friendly, well-documented, high-revving topless Ferrari.

Introduced as a Berlinetta in 1994 and a Spider in 1995, the F355’s Pininfarina-penned lines were honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel. As the first quad-cam, five-valve Ferrari, the F355 broke with Ferrari’s traditional numbering system (308 = 3.0 litres + 8 cyl) but instead stood for 3.5 liters and 5 valves. Power jumped to 375 horsepower at an impressive 8,500 rpm, thanks to sophisticated mechanicals such as titanium rods, an 11:1 compression ratio, a Bosch Motronic M5.2 engine management system and a dry-sump oiling system. Power is put to the ground through near-new 225 X 40 ZR X 18 front and 265 X 40 ZR X 18 rear Bridgestone Protenza tires mounted on damage free 18″ wheels. The F355 is seriously fast, sprinting from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and hitting a top speed of 185 mph! Power steering makes low-speed driving effortless, and the power top makes top-down motoring easy.

F355 Spider s/n 111312 starts instantly, pulls impressively and stops in a confidence-inspiring way. The suspension is tight and compliant as one would expect of a recently-serviced Ferrari. The floor pan and undercarriage are clean and dry with no significant road rash on the aerodynamic floor pan or suspension components. There is no evidence of structural damage or repair. The light alloy engine and suspension castings show very well. A full engine-out cam belt service was completed by H&S Motorsports, Houston, TX just under a year ago. Copies of all invoices and the Carfax on file. Does not have the usual “sticky switch” problems. As the first of the modern-era Montezemolo inspired high revving V8 Ferraris, F355 Spider s/n 111312 is a very user-friendly, low-mileage, bargain-priced,pride of ownership Ferrari.
