We are pleased to offer 2005 Ferrari 360 Spider s/n 140468, a very late, high-chassis-number, November 2004 build date 360 F1 Spider. This is a well optioned and very well documented 360 Spider, as good-as-they-get with 26,829 miles, and comes with a no-questions CAR FAX. From new in excellent Rosso Corsa 322 D.S. with Nero 8500 Daytona seats with Rosso piping and a Nero top. Other options included front and rear Challenge grill, red calipers, Scuderia fender shields, power Nero Daytona seats with red piping, the very rare spare wheel and tire with its red cover and a pioneer radio and CD changer plus the original radio.

360 Spider s/n 140468 has had four well documented owners, and comes complete with its key and remote and all six books and manuals, the original warranty card listing the selling dealer, all in their leather pouch. Comes with the factory supplied tools in their leather case, although two screwdrivers are missing from the set. Also comes with the rare jack kit with it’s leather case, tire iron, wheel nut socket and air compressor plus the ultra-rare white mechanics tire-change gloves in their small red bag. The paintwork is in excellent condition and the front spoiler was just painted to correct the rock chips that are inevitable after 26,829 miles. The wheels are excellent overall with none of the usual curb-rash and are mounted with a set of 215/45 ZR 18 front and 275/40 ZR 18 rear Toyo Proxes F1 Sport tires. The Nero leather is in very good condition with almost no wear to the driver’s seat bolster. The interior trim is in excellent shape with none of the typical stickiness common on the 360 Ferraris. The dashboard and carpets are in excellent condition with no shrinkage on the supple leather dash, although the air bag cover does have a wrinkle in the leather. The engine compartment and trunk both reflect a cared for and well maintained Ferrari. The dash gauge backing plate, the climate control and radio backing plate, the center console, the door inner kick panels and the rear firewall upper panel have been powder coated in matching Rosso Corsa at substantial cost.

When it debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2000, the 360 Spider was a quantum leap forward in top-down performance and technology thanks to its lightweight all alloy chassis, its flowing body lines and its very user-friendly power top. Performance was breathtaking thanks to the 360’s five-valve 3,586cc V8 producing 400 hp at 8,500 rpm. A new traction-control system was standard and top speed was an impressive 186 mph, with a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. The 360 was also the most aerodynamically sophisticated street Ferrari yet built, with the coupe version making nearly 400 pounds of down force at 180 mph, without the use of an external wing. By the time production ended in late 2004, the 360 had become the best-selling Ferrari ever. Breaking with previous Ferrari V8 tradition, the 360 can be serviced with the engine in, which translates into substantially reduced maintenance costs.

360 Spider s/n 140468 was serviced by GTO Engineering of Los Angeles on 15 Dec., 2020, at 26,135 miles. The service included an engine and transaxle oil change; a flush of the brake system; new air, oil and pollen filters; a flush of the power steering fluid; a re-charge of the A/C system with R134 Freon and a replacement of the transaxle heat exchanger and the F1 transaxle filter. The service also included a flush of the engine coolant system and gearbox oil and new intake manifold gaskets plus a safety check and test drive. The total invoice was $10,889.60. 360 Spider s/n 140468 is everything that a modern Ferrari should be – extremely fast, exotic to own, stunningly attractive and a user-friendly pride-of-ownership driver’s car.
