We are pleased to offer an amazing selection of original and well documented parts, most of which came from the Luigi Chinetti NART Team inventory. In 1977 the Chinetti and NART race team parts inventory were sold to Will Haible in San Leando, California. In the same time period Will Haible also bought a selection of original “take-off” alloy and steel body panels parts and engines from Stephen Griswold, the Ferrari dealer for Berkeley in the 1970s and early 1980s, who, at the time, ran the premier fabrication and restoration ship in America. Will also bought a selection of parts from several of the best known repair and restoration shops in the greater San Francisco area.

Today’s offering is the original alloy nose from a 1961 250 SWB SEFAC, one only twenty-one 250 SWB SEFAC “Hot Rods” built. As lightweight Scuderia SEFAC Ferrari team cars, piloted by the best driver’s of the era, the SEFAC “Hot Rods” won virtually every major GT race, from class wins at Le Mans to Spa-Francorchamps to Oulton Park to the Mille MIglia Rally to the Japanese GP.

Stephen Griswold, the Ferrari dealer for Berkeley in the mid-late 1970s and early 1980s, sublet his metal work to Don Nichols. Nichols had worked for Griswold but opened a one-man shop in Berkeley where he built complete new nose assemblies or complete bodies for the cars that passed through Griswold’s restoration shop. The SWB nose on offer is from a 250 SWB which was not finshed at Griswolds and so was sent to Tom Welch’s shop, Crocket Auto Restoration, where it was completed in 14 months, before being shown at Quail and at the Pebble Beach Concours.

We are now offering the original aluminum front sheet metal which was removed from a 250 SWB during the 1975-1982 restoration. A great display piece for any collection or any 250 SWB owner. Priced right at $19,950 or best offer.
