Founded in 1954 by American racer and designer Bill Devin, Devin became known for lightweight fiberglass sports-car bodies and competition-focused automobiles built during the golden age of American road racing. Devin’s sleek body designs could be fitted to a wide variety of chassis and engines, while complete cars such as the Devin SS and Devin D combined European-inspired styling with powerful American V8 performance. Successfully raced in SCCA competition and other events, Devin cars earned a reputation for speed, simplicity, and innovative construction. Today, surviving Devins are prized by collectors for their rarity, racing heritage, distinctive design, and unique place in American sports-car history.
