Introduced for the 1980 Formula 1 season, the Ferrari 312 T5 was the final evolution of the celebrated 312 T series. Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-12 producing 515 horsepower, it was driven by reigning World Champion Jody Scheckter and Gilles Villeneuve. Although unable to match the success of its championship-winning predecessors, the T5 marked the end of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated flat-12 Formula 1 era before the transition to turbocharged machinery.
