Developed by XL Racing for international GT competition, the Ferrari 550 XL Maranello transformed the front-engine V12 grand tourer into a purpose-built endurance racer. Extensive weight reduction, lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork, a Hewland six-speed racing gearbox, and a competition-prepared V12 producing approximately 585 horsepower significantly enhanced its performance. Built in extremely limited numbers and raced in the FFSA GT Championship and American Le Mans Series, the 550 XL represents a rare chapter in the 550 Maranello’s competition history.
