Developed in the early 1960s, the Bill Thomas Cheetah was a lightweight American sports car created to challenge the Shelby Cobra in competition. Its compact chassis placed a powerful Chevrolet V8 far behind the front axle, creating an aggressive front-mid-engine layout beneath distinctive fiberglass bodywork. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the Cheetah combined exceptional power-to-weight performance with unconventional engineering and remains one of the rarest and most distinctive American competition cars of its era.
