Introduced in 1996, the Lamborghini Diablo SV-R was a purpose-built competition evolution of the Diablo SV developed for Lamborghini’s one-make Supertrophy racing series. Featuring extensive weight reduction, competition suspension and brakes, revised aerodynamics, a stripped racing interior, and a more powerful version of Lamborghini’s 5.7-liter V12, the SV-R transformed the Diablo into a dedicated racing machine. Produced in extremely limited numbers, it remains one of the rarest and most significant competition variants of the Diablo.
