Introduced in 1978, the Lamborghini Countach LP400 S evolved the original Countach with a more aggressive appearance and significantly wider performance tires. Its 4.0-liter V12 produced 375 horsepower, while revised suspension, flared wheel arches, and distinctive wider wheels transformed the car’s stance and handling. Combining Marcello Gandini’s revolutionary design with increasingly dramatic styling, the LP400 S established the visual character that would define later Countach models.
