Introduced in the early 1970s, the De Tomaso Pantera L, or Lusso, refined the original Pantera with improved comfort, equipment, and overall finish. Retaining the mid-engine layout, Ford 351-cubic-inch Cleveland V8, and five-speed ZF transmission, the Pantera L combined strong American V8 performance with distinctive Italian styling. Its added refinement and usability made the Lusso an important evolution of De Tomaso’s most successful sports car.
