Introduced in 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 transformed the gullwing SLS into a purpose-built customer racing car developed for international GT3 competition. Its naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 was paired with a six-speed sequential racing transmission, extensive aerodynamic modifications, competition suspension, and a comprehensive safety system. Successful in endurance and sprint racing worldwide, the SLS AMG GT3 established the foundation for Mercedes-AMG’s modern Customer Racing program.
