Introduced in the late 1950s, the Devin SS was a lightweight American sports racing car combining sophisticated chassis engineering with powerful Chevrolet V8 performance. Its tubular chassis, independent front suspension, De Dion rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and lightweight fiberglass bodywork created a highly competitive package. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the Devin SS successfully competed against leading European sports racers and remains one of Bill Devin’s most significant competition cars.
