We are pleased to offer 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale s/n 137475. From new in Rosso Corsa Red with Alcantara racing seats with Nera bolsters, an Alcantara lower dash and a matching steering wheel, all finished off nicely with Scuderia Shields and Calipers. As the first of the dual-purpose, street-legal, track-day-ready Ferrari GT cars, the 360 Challenge Stradale was inspired by the 360 Challenge racing car series and is the ultimate evolution of the 360 series. Thanks to options such as lightweight Alcantara covered carbon fiber racing seats, carbon inner door panels, carbon side mirrors, a carbon center console, carbon inner engine bay panels, carbon air boxes, a carbon rear window surround, lightweight front and rear bumpers and side skirts, drilled pedals, and the interior stripped of carpets and sound deadener, the Challenge Stradale was as much as 74 kg (163 lb) lighter than the production 360 Modena. The engine and trans were lightened by 11 kg (24 lb) thanks to a smaller, lighter sports exhaust and valved exit pipes. A re-tuned V8 engine with higher compression (11.2:1 versus 11.0:1) was good for another 25 hp for a total of 425 hp, and the paddle shift times were improved through new software. The Challenge Stradale also got a full set of Brembo carbon ceramic brakes as standard, completely eliminating brake fade and improving braking, saving another 16 kg (35 lb) off the curb weight and improving handling by reducing unsprung weight. Launch controls makes for great standing-start acceleration runs and the lightweight racing seats prove that thinly padded deep buckets are good for both the road and track.

From the onset Ferrari engineers designed the Challenge Stradale with a goal of 20% track day use and 80% road use in mind, with a focus on improving its track performance credentials by concentrating on handling, braking and weight reduction characteristics, all essential in pure racing cars. Thanks to 425 hp and an improved power-to-weight ratio, the Challenge Stradale accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds. Throttle response from the digital throttle was improved and feedback through the steering wheel was enhanced. Ceramic brakes borrowed from the Enzo, lower weight and an improved handling package enabled the Challenge Stradale to claim a 3.5 second improvement per lap over a production 360 Modena
at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track.

As one of only approximately 378 examples built for the North American market, Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale s/n 137475 is mounted on an excellent set of low profile, 225/35 ZR19 front and 285/35 ZR 19 rear Pirelli P ZERO Corsa tires. Comes with it’s lightweight spare wheel and tire, its full set of original factory tools, in their leather carrying case, the factory supplied spare-in-a-can in it’s foam-lined case and cloth carrying bag, a factory car cover in it’s carrying bag and the optional fire extinguisher. 360 Challenge Stradale s/n 137475 is fitted with a Factory radio and a white “tricolor” racing stripe has been added. 360 Challenge Stradale s/n 137475 was just serviced in late September by Dugan Enterprises, Oceanside, California, including a cam belt service, new cam belt and tensioners, an oil and filter change, new power steering, alternator and A/C belts, a brake fluid and coolant flush, a tire, light and safety check and a detail. The total invoice was $4,425.97 at 8,007 miles. This 360 Challenge Stradale has an unusual clean lower front spoiler, belly pans and rear venturi pan, without any of the usual scrapes and scratches. Unfortunately Challenge Stradale s/n 137475 was damaged by its first owner in 2012 and the owner did not want a damaged car and so turned it in to State Farm, his insurance company, who issued a salvage title. See the attached photo showing the relatively minor front spoiler damage. High quality repairs were done in Dallas and today The Challenge Stradale is a striking car car thanks to it’s racing stripe, alcantara and carbon trimmed interior and external carbon features such as the carbon mirrors and rear window surround. Challenge Stradale s/n 137475 is accordingly priced well below market. We welcome any inspection.
