Introduced in 1955, the Ferrari 857 Monza was a short-lived evolution of Ferrari’s four-cylinder sports racing program. Developed from the 750 Monza, it featured an enlarged 3.4-liter Lampredi inline-four producing 280 horsepower in a lightweight tubular chassis. Created to strengthen Ferrari’s challenge in international endurance racing, the 857 competed at events including the Tourist Trophy, Targa Florio, and Buenos Aires 1000 Km, bridging the development between the 750 Monza and later 860 Monza.
