Introduced in 1974, the Lamborghini Countach LP400 “Periscopio” was the first production version of the revolutionary Countach. Powered by a 4.0-liter V12 producing 375 horsepower, it retained the clean, unadorned lines of Marcello Gandini’s original design. Its distinctive recessed roof section, created for a periscope-style rear-view concept, gave the early LP400 its famous nickname. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the Periscopio remains one of the purest and most collectible Countach variants.
