Introduced in 1979, the Ferrari 400i evolved Ferrari’s luxury 2+2 grand tourer with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection replacing the carburetors of the earlier 400. Powered by a 4.8-liter Colombo V12 producing 310 horsepower, it combined refined Pininfarina styling with genuine four-passenger comfort and a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Blending V12 performance with long-distance refinement, the 400i became an important evolution of Ferrari’s front-engine grand touring tradition.
