We are pleased to offer 1999 USA model Ferrari F355 F1 Spider s/n 117039, the very last US model 355 Spyder built, delivered new to Ogner Ferrari, the selling dealer, in October 1999. From new in Giallo Modena 4305 D.S. “Fly yellow” with black leather, a black dash and black carpets with the carpets protected by aftermarket “Prancing Horse” throw carpets, a black tonneau cover and Factory fitted with Scuderia shields and a rear Challenge grille. Comes with a detailed “history” book with all service invoices going back fourteen years and now with only 10,931 well documented miles. 355 Spyder s/n 117039 was fully serviced only a year ago, in 2017, 15 Sept., by Ferrari of New England. The window regulator was replaced, the engine oil and filters were changed, the gearbox and differential oils were changed, the brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid were all changed and an engine-out service including a cam-belt service was performed, the water pump was rebuilt and a new battery was installed. The total invoice was $12,747.14. Invoice on hand, clean Carfax, of course, ask for scanned copies by e-mail.

The body and body fit are “as-new” and the paint is in excellent condition over an accident-free and dent-free body. The black leather, black dash and black canvas top are all in “near new” condition. The engine compartment is spotless. Comes with the embossed leather carrying pouch with the owner’s handbook, the consumer information book and booklet, the radio book, the leather tool case with all the factory tools, the Factory stereo, the trunk mounted 6-disc CD changer, the red Factory car cover in its matching carrying bag and the “spare-in-a-can.” Comes with both sets of keys with three remotes. 355 Spider s/n 117039 is both cosmetically and mechanically a superb example, offering the chance to buy a near-new 1999 F355 Spider. A pride-of-ownership “first Ferrari” for the buyer looking for a reasonably-priced, user-friendly, well-documented, high-revving topless Ferrari.

Introduced as a Berlinetta in 1994 and a Spider in 1995, the F355’s Pininfarina-penned lines were honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel. As the first quad-cam, five-valve Ferrari, the F355 broke with Ferrari’s traditional numbering system (308 = 3.0 litres + 8 cyl) but instead stood for 3.5 liters and 5 valves. Power jumped to 375 horsepower at an impressive 8,500 rpm, thanks to sophisticated mechanicals such as titanium rods, an 11:1 compression ratio, a Bosch Motronic M5.2 engine management system and a dry-sump oiling system. Power is put to the ground through near-new 225 X 40 ZR X 18 front and 265 X 40 ZR X 18 rear Bridgestone Expedia S 01 tires mounted on scuff and damage free 18″ wheels. The F355 is seriously fast, sprinting from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and hitting a top speed of 185 mph! Power steering makes low-speed driving effortless, and the power top makes top-down motoring easy.

F355 Spider s/n 117039 starts instantly, pulls impressively and stops in a confidence-inspiring way. The suspension is tight and compliant as one would expect of a well-documented, low mileage, recently-serviced Ferrari. The floor pan and undercarriage are clean and dry with no significant road rash on the aerodynamic floor pan or suspension components. There is no evidence of structural damage or repair. The light alloy engine and suspension castings show very well. A full engine-out cam belt service was completed by Ferrari of New England just under a year ago. Copies of all invoices and the Carfax on file. Does not have the usual “sticky switch” problems. Collectable as the last US model 355 spider built. Clearly 355 s/n 117039 has been well maintained and cared for by her previous owners. As the first of the modern-era Montezemolo inspired high revving V8 Ferraris, F355 Spider s/n 117039 is a very user-friendly, low-mileage, pride of ownership Ferrari priced very right at $79,950.
