We are pleased to offer 1972 DeTomaso Pantera s/n 03968, an ultra–low mileage USA model Pantera with only 9,410 well documented original miles from new. This Pantera is very original and has been a rust free, largely stock, pampered car all its life. Finished in excellent original yellow paint over an undented and original body, finished off with the excellent–quality original black interior and dash. The body, paint, interior, dash, under hood, front compartment and engine bay are all extremely clean, nicely finished and have an excellent patina.

The sensational Tom Tjaarda design is unquestionably among the most attractive automotive designs of the golden–era of pre–rubber–bumper Italian exotics. This Pantera is stunningly good looking and ready–to–go or to–show and offers an affordable addition to any collection. Powered by a 4–bolt main 351 Cleveland engine, it runs extremely well and pulls strong to redline backed up by a bullet–proof ZF gearbox. Has the correct 15–inch cast magnesium Campagnolo wheels and the original space–saver spare tire. Comes with the original tool roll and copies of the letters to the Pantera Club help to document two owners from new, with the first owner for twenty–three years, from 1972 to 1995, and the second owner from 1995 to 2009.

Fly in for an inspection and test drive, this is a stunning Pantera in a very elegant yellow on black combo that offers a lot of bang for the buck and will not disappoint.

1972, sold new to Thomas R. White, South Lyon, Michigan. White owned the car from 1972 to 1995 and was a POCA (Pantera Owners Club America) member who was noted for sending angry letters to the Pantera Club. White kept the car completely stock (except for bolt–on wire wheels) and only drove it 3,950 miles in 23 years.

1995, sold to Roy Weier of Westland, Michigan. Owned by Weier from 1995 to 2009, so 14 years. Weier bought the car with 3,950 miles. It had 9,410 miles when he died, so he drove it only 5,410 miles. Upon his death, his son, Kevin Weier of Ann Arbor, MI, took title and ownership of the car in August, 2009 and sold it to the current owner, a long term Ferrari owner.

2009, August, sold to third and current owner, Dearborn, MI.

2009, November, on consignment with Mike Sheehan’s Ferraris-online.com.
