This stunning Daytona Spyder has just completed a Platinum level restoration by Rod Drew’s F.A.I. in Costa Mesa, CA. The body was refinished in gorgeous new Rosso Chiaro 20-R-190 red paint by Steve Beckman, Costa Mesa, CA. The interior was recovered in all new tan leather with black inserts, new black carpets, a new black top and the dash was redone to the highest standards by Pete at Westminster Auto Upholster in Anaheim, CA. 365 GTS/4 s/n 14473 was taken down to the bare shell and completely rebuilt, including an engine-out service with a full transaxle, brakes, suspension and every other moving part rebuild. All replaceable brakes, shock and suspension components are rebuilt or new. All suspension arms and components are cadmium-plated or powder-coated to a much higher standard than when new. Nicely detailed and painted frame and floor. Beautiful exhaust system with all new hangars. The engine has been fully serviced and runs and drives as new with a silky smooth rebuilt transaxle. The complete engine, chassis, suspension, brakes and underhood area are all beautifully detailed. Comes with the complete original leather owner’s pouch, owner’s handbook, USA supplement handbook, warranty book, and Consumer Information booklet. Comes with the original Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin #913 to the first owner dated 05 Nov., 1971. Also comes with the full original roll-up leather tool roll with all tools and the original jack kit and bag. A no-expenses-spared and ultra-high quality driver-restoration on a Daytona Spyder with all the ultra–hard to get original memorabilia. Full photo documentation of the restoration work on file. All invoices on file. Total billing approximately $135,000. Mounted on a rebuilt set of Borrani wire wheels with new XWX’s plus the original mags on new Dunlop tires.
First shown at the Frankfurt motor show in 1969, the Daytona Spyders were instantly collectible, thanks to the limited number built, their stunning good looks, excellent performance and the symphony of their exhaust note at speed. As the very last of the Enzo-era V-12 spyders they are among the most desirable, collectable and user-friendly road-going Ferraris ever built. 365 GTS/4 s/n 14473 now completed a restoration to better-than-new condition by the best shops in Southern California, with full documentation and has a well-documented ownership history back to the selling dealer. From new in Ferrari red. Classiche certified. We welcome any mechanical or body inspection.
