We are pleased to offer 1974 Dino (Ferrari) 246 GTS s/n 08304. A very late production (May 1974) USA model “Chairs and Flares” Dino from new with the Factory fender flares and Daytona seats, finished off with the wider Factory-fitted Campagnolo wheels complete to the correct Campagnolo spare wheel. Restored in 2000 by Lee Stayton and only one owner since being restored. Finished in excellent quality Giallo (Fly yellow) paint with nice older black leather Daytona seats. Just serviced by Rod Drew’s F.A.I. with bumpers re-plated and the paint touched up, total invoice $11,899.77. Pulls strong to redline with very good syncros that go into both 1st and 2nd gear cold without a problem! 246 GTS s/n 08304 is fitted with very attractive headlight covers and is equipped with A/C, P/W and has the original top cover used to cover the targa top when stowed behind the seats. Mechanically maintained and detailed, this Dino is in excellent mechanical condition and needs nothing. A “time capsule” Ferrari with excellent syncros, a strong engine and everything working as it should. Complete with the original leather pouch, warranty book, owner’s manual and parts book, authorized dealer booklet, the yellow wiping rag, the original sales brochure, a partial tool set and the tool roll. 246 GTS s/n 08304 is an excellent original 246 GTS with a known ownership back to the early 1980s. 2011, 25 Apr. – 08 June, serviced by Rod Drew’s F.A.I., 935 Sunset Drive, Costa Mesa, CA, 92627. New battery, new brake master cylinder, flushed brake hydraulic system, drained and flushed fuel system. Cleaned out idle jets, pulled spark plugs and checked, removed and refit choke wheel. Removed all four bumpers and brackets for re-chrome, took right door apart and sent out door handle for re-chrome, removed muffler for rust repair on lower section of rear valance. Stripped and repainted battery hold-down. Replaced clutch cable. Drilled-out side molding on top for refinish and reassembled when back from paint shop. Repaired dent in passenger’s door. Repainted door. Repaired lower part of rear valance, repaired inside of rear fender and blacked out, repaired dent in right rear quarter behind bumper. Color matched and blended paint. Refinished and painted Targa top panel. Trucked to and from detail shop. Cleaned and detailed engine compartment. Total invoice: $11,899.77.
