We are pleased to offer 1976 Fiberglass 308 GTB “Vetroresina” s/n 19555, an all-original, one-family owned, US model Fiberglass 308 GTB. This beautiful Ferrari red with tan leather GTB is unusually well documented back to the selling dealer and the first owner and then to the following one-family owners. 308 GTB s/n 19555 has a June 1976 build date. In Jan., 1977 308 GTB s/n 19555 was imported new by Chinetti Garthwaite Imports, the official Ferrari importer, in Rosso Chiaro with a 3218 tan leather interior with black carpets. On 02 Feb., 1976 308 GTB s/n 19555 went to Algar, the authorized Ferrari dealer for Paoli, PA and was sold to its first owner, Gary Yount, Marietta, PA. In the 1980s Gary Yount died and his wife, Sandra, inherited 308 GTB s/n 19555. Sandra later remarried Micky Trammell, of Satellite Beach Florida and in 2016 Sandra Trammell died and so Fiberglass 308 GTB s/n 19555 was gifted to her daughter, Brandi Ippoliti, Pembroke Pines, Florida. On 06 Dec., 2016 a Florida title was issued to Steven and Brandi Ippoliti, Pembroke Pines, Florida. Over the last thirty plus years 308 GTB s/n 19555 was serviced by Tom Petroski at Autobahn Service and Restoration in Melbourne Florida who remembers the car well. In Sept., 2017 308 GTB s/n 19555 was put into storage for five years before coming to Ferraris Online. Today 308 GTB s/n 19555 has only 30,445 miles and so has been driven an average of only 676.5 miles of usage per year over its forty-five years.

S/n 19555 comes with its full set of tools in their tool roll, the jack bag, the jack, the jack wrench and ratchet with the tire iron plus the plastic fuse and bulb holder with it’s bulbs and fuses. The rare Glidden Salchi paint sticker is in place and carries the hand-written 20-R-190 paint code. The paint is original and so shows crazing in the lacquer due to age. Because the body is fiberglass, the body is dent-free! Thanks to the early 308s clever door latches, the doors open and shut with a finger light touch and the front hood and deck lid open and close with ease. The frame, lower body and all suspension components are in good original, unrestored condition. All four 7 1/2 x 14 Campagnolo wheels are chipped but damage free and are mounted on a set of Michelin Energy MXV4 205/70 R 14 tires. The tan leather interior upholstery, dash, headliner and interior trim and carpets are in good condition with no excessive hardening on the seat leather although the seam on the driver’s side seat bolster is worn through. The engine bay and the under panels, belly pan and suspension plus the front and rear bumpers are all in good condition. The windshield, rear window glass and passenger door glass are also all in good condition. The original Vitaloni “California” driver’s side mirror is in place.

When introduced in October of 1975 at the Paris Auto Salon, the Pininfarina designed 308 GTB was an elegant replacement for the much-missed 246 GT. Thanks to the lines penned by Pininfarina designer Leonardo Fioravanti, the 308 GTB continued the aggressive yet curvaceous and exotic lines shown in Fioravanti’s earlier 206 and 246 GT, 365 GTB/4 Daytona and 365 BB Berlinetta Boxer designs. As a replacement for the 246 GT, the 308 GTB was the first of Ferrari’s higher-volume, smaller-engine V-8 exotics, meant to appeal to a larger market than the flagship V-12s, and the first of the long line of V8 Ferraris that have evolved into Ferrari’s massive commercial success.

308 GTB s/n 19555 is a bargain priced, one-family-owned, low-mile “Vetroresina” from new in red with tan leather, a black dash and black carpets. While technically California smog legal, s/n 19555 is not for sale in California because of California’s draconian smog laws. To be on the safe side 308 GTB s/n 19555 is due for a 30k mile cam-belt service which includes new cam belts and cam seals, new accessory belts and hoses, new tensioner bearings, plugs, fuel hoses, a carb rebuild, a new A/C receiver drier, fresh R134 Freon, a new water pump, engine and trans oil changed and the brake fluid and coolant flushed, a full set of the correct period tires, a new spare tire cover in the front and a new rear lid support rod, all of which can be done for 10k – $12k or less. A great looking, great sounding, user-friendly 1976 USA model 308 GTB “Vetroresina” that will not disappoint. Priced to sell at $139,950 or best offer
