We are pleased to offer 1982 Ferrari 308 GTS s/n 40675, best described as an exercise in wretched excess in “hot–rodding” a Ferrari 308 GTS for racing. Built to run in the Virginia City Hill Climb and fitted with a relatively stock 308–2V with dry sump and a blower manifold with a B&M blower running a Hilborn injector on Methanol (to avoid an intercooler) and dyno tested at about 480BHP. Fitted with a 328 transaxle and 17″ Speedline wheels with standard size tires to make the transmission live, as it will light the tires any time you want. Also fitted with fully adjustable Koni shocks, 12″ Wilwood 1 1/8″ rotors with Superlite calipers and an increased negative camber front suspension and sundry other parts from the group 4 Michelloto cars.
Fitted with a roll bar as a structural member attached directly to the chassis and with the seat dropped 2″ for helmet clearance. Priced far below the cost of duplication and for those brave enough to drive it at $34,950.
We also have a complete and “fresh” 308–4V engine with original Borgo 11–1 pistons and a fully programmable EFI engine management system with throttle body injection complete with the wiring harness, timed injector, engine position sensor, CAT sensor and TPS, all fitted to an 1984 308–4V transaxle priced at an additional $13,000.
Both will be sold for the best offer in the next two weeks.

1982 Model. Early history unknown and really not relevant!
1986, purchased and race preparation begun as a “project” for shop owner Bill Pound, who was crew chief on the Allen Click Michelotto when raced in IMSA in the mid–1980s.
Built on–and–off over the next 15 years to run in the Virginia City Hill Climb as Bill Pound, the owner, was the event chairman for the Virginia City Hill Climb for the FOC and later for the Quattro Club USA.
Never raced in the Virginia City Hill Climb and only used for a one day test session at Willow Springs in 2002.
Available with both the blown and injected 308–2V engine and 328 gearbox, running, driving and ready to go for those fearless enough to drive it.
A race prepared 308–4V engine and transaxle with a ready to install programmable injection complete with headers is also available.
2005, Apr. 07, offered for sale by Michael Sheehan’s Ferraris-online.com.
