We are pleased to offer 2005 Bentley Continental GT s/n 027257. From new in a very elegant Chestnut Metallic paint with exquisite Saddle leather with Madrona veneer accents. Options include 19″ 9–spoke 2–piece alloy sports wheels in painted finish, upgraded veneer inserts to the front door panels, rear quarter panels and rear center armrest, remote garage door opener, valet parking key and the power boot opening. The body is mirror straight, the paint is truly excellent and the full leather interior is in amazingly good condition for a car now fifteen-years old. We love Bentley GTs as they are both user-friendly and wallet-friendly supercars that put the Grand back into Touring, thanks to Bentley’s long tradition of hand–tooled craftsmanship, backed up with exceptional power and effortless performance. A Bentley GT will take you to your destination in relaxed luxury, style and grace with speed and comfort to match, but will still leave you relaxed and ready-to-go at your destination.

Thanks to one hundred years of Bentley tradition, the Continental GT is a luxury coupé, with styling cues from famous past models. The statuesque bodywork hides an opulent cabin. Leather, wood and burnished chrome smother every surface in opulence, continuing the Bentley concept of sporting luxury. Just about every surface (headliner, pillars, visors, dashboard, center console, door panels), are all in as-new condition. The seats are beautifully done and very striking, and the carpets are in excellent condition. As one would expect of a Bentley, the interior looks like a doctoral thesis from the school of tanning arts. The very comfortable seats make one feel like sitting inside a Coach wallet–you feel like money. The fit and finish approaches perfection, every seam aligns, every hide is flawless. The steering wheel is double-stitched by hand using one continuous piece of thread. Bentley handcrafts wood veneers from the finest natural materials and Bentley is the only coachbuilder to book–match their wood veneers, placing four successive leaves end to end to create a symmetrical pattern. Knurled bright–ware controls round out the craftsmanship. Needless to say the seats are heated and powered seats with memory and lumbar adjustment. Front, side-impact and side-curtain airbags protect in an accident and Xenon headlights light the way. The electronics package is as modern as the rest of the interior is traditional with an Infotainment system incorporating DVD Satellite Navigation and a Hi–Fi system with a 6–CD changer incorporated in the glove compartment.

The Continental GT’s 12-cylinder, 6–liter engine is configured as four banks of three cylinders in a W formation, giving a compact power plant which allows for significantly more interior space. Twin low–inertia turbochargers boost the power output of the 5998cc engine to an impressive 552bhp. The W-12 engine gets unique low-compression pistons to handle boost levels of between 4.4 and 10.2 psi huffed up by twin 3K Warner turbochargers. That pressure arrives instantly and imperceptibly, providing peak torque at just 1600 rpm giving stunning torque, mid-range power and a deep, bassy soundtrack. A ZF six-speed automatic digests that immense torque and apportions it evenly between the front and rear axles via a torque-sensing center differential with manual shifting via paddles behind the wheel or the usual lever. The engine is hand-assembled at the Bentley factory in Crewe. For those with enough open road, the top speed is good for 198 mph and the 0–60mph time is just 4.6 seconds and to increase stability at speed the Continental GT is fitted with a discreet retractable airfoil. The Continental GT develops a maximum torque of 650Nm at 1600rpm, translating to an immediate sensation of power as the accelerator is touched, yet it has the effortless torque curve that is characteristic of every Bentley.

Self–adjusting air springs and electronic dampers (shocks) operate independently for each wheel while continuous all–wheel drive promotes advanced traction. The 6–speed ZF automatic transmission shifts effortlessly and so smoothly you cannot feel the shifts, unless you decide to take control with the steering–column–mounted gearshift paddles. Extensive underbody aerodynamic tuning and a rear spoiler combine to eliminate rear lift, and the air suspension lowers the front of the car to counteract high-speed lift. Steering accuracy is superb at all speeds, with no dead spot on-center or artificial effort, handling limits are impressively high, making the car seem far lighter than it is, and the ride quality of the adjustable suspension is supple in the comfort setting and lowest of three sport settings (the highest sport setting mainly serves to demonstrate how bad the road surface actually is). The braking power afforded by the gigantic 15.9-inch-diameter front rotors (the largest on any production car) and 13.2-inch rear discs is awesome, shedding speed as effortlessly as the W-12 builds it.
